Every child opens their letter a little differently. Younger children may enjoy listening, pointing, peeling stickers and joining in with simple prompts. Older children may begin to follow the characters, help with recipes, make their own choices and return to the cards across the month.

Ages 2 to 3
Best enjoyed with a grown-up. Little ones can listen to the letter, spot details in the illustration, peel stickers, name what they see and join in with simple hands-on moments.

Ages 4 to 5
Children begin to follow the story world more closely, talk about what might happen next, help with the recipe and use the activity card as a starting point for imaginative play.

Age 6
Older children can get more from the story-led prompts, seasonal details, collecting the cards, helping more independently with recipes and creating their own ideas around each month’s adventure.

From the next mailing onwards, a personalised envelope drops through their letterbox, addressed to the child, by name.

Each letter includes hand-illustrations, is personalised with your child's name, and is designed for ages 2–6. Nothing requires a screen. Nothing requires preparation. Just open and begin.

Some gifts are opened once. Others become something a child waits for. Tilly’s Letters is personalised snail mail for children, sent through the post each month and filled with stories, stickers, recipes and screen-free things to do together.
Questions about giving as a gift
Will the subscription renew automatically?
Only if you choose the monthly gift option. If you choose a prepaid 3, 6 or 12-month gift, it ends automatically after the final letter with no charge. We'll let the recipient know in advance.
Can I cancel at any time?
Absolutely. For monthly subscriptions, you can pause or cancel any time through your account - no questions asked, no penalties. Prepaid gifts simply end after the final letter.
When will the first letter arrive?
Letters post in the first week of each month. If you order by the 7th, the first letter will be included in that month's mailing. Order after the 7th and the first letter ships at the start of the following month.
Can I add a personal message?
Yes. During checkout you can write a personal message which we include in the first letter.
Is it suitable for children outside this age range?
Little Wanderers is designed for ages 2-6. Children at the younger end tend to love the illustrations and stickers; older children get more from the stories and recipes. If you're unsure, feel free to get in touch and we'll help you decide.
Do I need to know the child's address?
Yes, you will need to enter the child's address as the shipping address at checkout.
Can siblings share one subscription?
Yes, you can personalise the envelope with more than one child’s name.
